 Dominick Boscarelli died on August 23, 1979, of a gunshot wound received while on duty at the Olmsted Township Police Department. Patrolman Boscarelli was a member of the Olmsted Township Police Department for eight months.

 Boscarelli was the son of Joseph D. Boscarelli.  He said his son's goal was to be a policeman. Prior to his role as a police officer, he had worked as a Cleveland Traffic Controller, a civilian job.

 Dominick Boscarelli's name is inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall, Washington, D.C. panel 39, west wall, line 8.
